War is over: Bush victorious
George Bush has declared victory in his war to start a fight with Iraq, and has finally been able to launch planes and missiles in anger.
Coalition forces had earlier used a pincer movement from the UK and the US to head off opposition forces from France, Germany, Russia, China, the Arab countries and most of the rest of the world.
The opponents had tried to draw the US forces into direct diplomatic negotiations which would have put them at a disadvantage and could have led to a long and drawn out conflict. But the coalition finally found a weakness in France's maneuvers and struck quickly.
Now that this war is over the US can get back to what it is good at.
