Russia says something about Iraq
The Russian Foreign Minister, Igor Igorigorvich, has said something about Iraq which has given newspapers and broadcasters another war story without sounding repetitive.
"We kept quoting the same people on Iraq - George Bush, Jack Straw, Tony Blair - and frankly our articles were becoming interchangable," said one delighted newspaper editor, "But Mr Igorigorvich's intervention is hugely significant because he sounds quite important, yet we've not heard from him much before."
Political pundits agreed. "The impact of his words have an enormous knock-on effect," said one security journalist, who was promoted last week from his job as a security guard. "From this one statement I've already knocked off a 500 word news article, two features and an editorial. I've not even had time to read what the guy said."
