A high court judge yesterday ruled against a Sheffield vote seeker and his quest to find a home in middle England.

The man, referred to only as "David Blunkett", is a refugee from the left wing of the Labour Party, but since coming to government has had to survive on policies stolen from the Conservatives or picked up from the gutter press.

Mr Blunkett's lawyers said they were deeply disappointed with the ruling, but agreed that he was not appealing.
