Adlai Stevenson delivers Colin Powell moment

The corpse of former UN Ambassador Adlai Stevenson yesterday delivered the long-anticipated Colin Powell moment when it didn't do anything whatsoever.

The inaction of Mr Stevenson, who has been dead since 1965, dramatically echoed the presentation of General Colin Powell who produced grainy photographs and ambiguous phone conversations to the UN Security Council. A visitor to the graveside said, "Adlai's performance was magnificent. By the end not one member of the Council had changed their mind on anything at all. He captured the occasion perfectly."
