Humanitarian campaigners are up in arms that Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe has been given a London Underground OAP travel pass, despite a European Union travel ban.

London Underground said the incident was possible because he applied for it, and anyway nobody told them about the travel ban. Receipt of the pass follows Mr Mugabe taking a flight in a hot air balloon over the Alps, winning a luxury cruise in a Readers Digest prize draw, and bouncing on a space hopper through the streets of Brussels.

An spokescrat for the EU denied the travel pass made them look stupid. "It's Robert Mugabe that makes us look stupid," he said.
